I am a club member and unfortunately I don't get to come to too many
meetings. I am doing a report for school about the club and the hobby in
general and I was hoping you could answer some questions for me.
1) how many members do you have in the club and how many of them are women?
ANS: We have 115 members. I was told that at one time there were 2 women
who were members. However, at this time there is none!
2) How long has the club been using the field at Gateway?
ANS: Between 15 and 20 years. From what I have been told the club flew
out of Gateway before the federal government took it over.
3) Do you know what the most popular aircraft models are?
ANS: Right Now many of the Pilots have the Bobcat and Slow Poke. There are
other favorites, but at this time these are the planes that a lot of our
pilots have bought. I think there are approximately 6 members who have
purchased the Bobcat and 6 or 7 members who have purchased the Slow Poke so
that is why I have named these two planes as the favorites.
4) I don't remember how much the dues for the club are.
ANS: Senior Members (19 and older) if dues are paid by the March meeting are
$40.00; Junior Members (under 18) are free and Retired (65 and older) if paid
by the March meeting are $32.00. Regular dues are $5.00 a month or $60.00.
There is also a $50.00 iniation fee upon joining!
Also, is there anyway that I can get in touch with Dan B****.
I'd like to ask him about his Wirraway.
